# Call Recording Integration Entries
Call Recording Integration configuration entries define communication settings for external call recording providers, which then allows the application’s reporting functionality to automatically retrieve and/or perform on-demand playback of audio call recordings.
Note
Additionally, the general Call Recording Integration feature within the Akixi Service may not necessarily be turned on as it can be disabled within the low-level licensing configuration of the Service, which also hides all related recording playback reporting & administration related functionality. Contact your Application Provider to verify whether the call recording reporting & administrative features are turned on for your Akixi Service.
# Recording Integration Entry Scoping
Call Recording Integration entries within the application have an assigned component scope. For example, recording entries can be assigned to any/all Telephony Server configuration entries, which effectively means they’re application-wide and available for playback usage assignment on any reporting User. The use of application-wide scoped recording entries is not recommended since one integration entry typically defines the audio recording account integration details for an individual telephony environment.
Integration entries can also be attached specifically to one Telephony Server, but assignable for playback usage to reporting Users attached to any sub-Partition within it. This is the recommended assignment strategy to use.
Finally, integration entries can be individually attached to a specific Akixi Service Partition component, where they are assignable to reporting Users with their scope permission set to the same corresponding Partition.
# When Are Recording Integration Entries Used?
The application only communicates with an external call recording provider when an integration entry is specifically assigned to an application/reporting User via its "Recording Playback" setting within the Akixi Service’s Add/Change User administration web page. The communication details configured against the recording entry are then used when either checking for the presence of, and/or downloading audio recording(s), when that User displays the Report Item Details window for an individual call segment record by clicking a row within Historic Call List reports.
Additionally, a special case applies when reporting Users having a specific recording integration assignment attempt to retrieve/playback audio recordings for Historic Call List report items, where the report was originally run across a Telephony Server configured as a demonstration simulator. In such instances, a specific integration entry named [Dubber: Demonstration Simulator]
with an assigned GUID value of d7ae7ea9bf56ebdc:-3f5d0705:1559c8e762d:-8000
is used instead to retrieve/playback a limited set of example audio recordings for calls shown within demo Historic Call List reports. Therefore, you should not delete this Call Recording configuration entry, which is created automatically by default.
# Supported Operations
The supported Call Recording Integration configuration entry operations are listed below. Operations related to Recording entries start with a CallRecInt
prefix. They will be referred to as “Recording Operations” interchangeably hereafter.

are platform-specific therefore, you need to populate the appropriate parameters according to the corresponding Call Recording Integration type.
Note
At present only Call Recording Integration platform supported is Dubber.

Properties listed in the table below cannot be changed after the initial creation of the Call Recording Integration entry. If any of these properties are passed into the CallRecIntChange

Call Recording Integration deletion operation cannot be undone. Therefore, you will not be able to restore the Call Recording Integration entry within the Akixi Service once it has been deleted.

# CallRecIntList
The CallRecIntList
operation can be used to list all Akixi Call Recording Integration entries that are configured against a certain Telephony Server or Partition component within the Akixi Service.

A sample request body of the CallRecIntList
operation is shown below. The list of underlying Call Recording Integrations can be fetched using either the combination of the Telephony Server ID (TelSysID
) and partition ID in the Telephony Server (PartIDInTelSys
) or just GUID of the partition (PartitionGUID
).
The Offset
and Limit
parameters can also be specified to request a specific subsection of the listed entries (if not specified these values are assumed to be 0 and 1000 respectively).
Offset
defines how many entries to skip over (i.e. which entry to start on if the first entry is entry 0) and Limit
defines how many entries to retrieve.
